As a recognized State of Michigan Trail Grant Sponsor, for over 14 years the Snowmobile and ORV Association of Alger County has been managing and maintaining multi-use trail systems in Michigan’s Central Upper Peninsula with a count of over 100 miles currently under our care. Our dedicated focus is working closely with the community and other users, creating a premier trail riding hub of the Upper Peninsula. SORVA's volunteer team takes pride in providing the most enjoyable snowmobile and ORV trails possible with winters full of grooming, groomer repairs, trail reporting, and all the other behind the scenes maintenance we do.
It doesn't stop there, though. In our summers, we're still out working to maintain and improve our trail conditions, especially for our ORV trails. Summer work entails clearing brush and downed trees from trails, replacing broken or missing signage, grading and filling areas that need some work, and the occasional emergency clean-up.
The Snowmobile & Off Road Vehicle Association of Alger County is dedicated to preserving Snowmobile and ORV Recreation and the responsible use of our Public Lands. We proudly play a pro-active role in preserving the unlimited outdoor enjoyment of Snowmobile and ORV Recreation we have throughout the State of Michigan. We do this through the providing of educational programs, trail mapping assistance, voluntary trail maintenance and community involvement. We are committed to promoting safe and fun riding in our beautiful county, as responsible Snowmobile and ORV operators and the future of Snowmobile and ORV Recreation.
S.O.R.V.A. of Alger County holds regularly scheduled meetings on the last Tuesday of the month. Everyone is welcome so please come in and join our Snowmobile and ORV adventure.
