TRAILS TAKE A KNOCK-DOWN BEATING!
All of our area trails are a mess after a day of heavy traffic, warm temperatures, steady rain and not being able to groom. Significant Snow was lost with almost a half inch of rain and high winds. Dirty snow, wet areas, icy corners and small moguls with little snow are making for some poor overall riding conditions. Right now weather is not permitting any grooming operations. We are hoping the temperatures dropping tonight will let us get out and try to salvage whats left. Still no significant snow in the forecast so it is going to be a challenge trying to save and re-establish a flat base. Hopefully we have better news to report Saturday morning after the groomers have been running through the night.
Today’s Forecast: Rain, 36 degrees and 5 to 30 mph N winds. Temperatures dropping into the teens with up to an inch of snow tonight.
If you must venture out please ride with caution and conservatively and PLEASE be respectful, stay on the trail and off the throttle when in the towns. Do your best to be easy on the trail base – Please.
Keep Snow Dancing with your friends and stay tuned for updates!
