TRAIL CONDITIONS GOOD!
We received a light dusting of new snow yesterday with trails in overall Good groomed trail conditions. Some corners are getting icy. The club owned John Deere 7130 did its first groom on Trail 419 between Munising and Christmas with pleasing results. This plan should really help out having a third machine running. Trail 422 has vehicles still driving on Miners Castle Road. Trail 419 between Munising and Wetmore is rough with a challenging creek crossing and no snow to work with, ride with caution. Honestly more than a foot of snow is needed to do anything in that section of trail. Please respect residential property owners and STAY ON THE TRAIL, No Snowmobile Signs mean just that. No significant snowfall in the forecast so continue the snow dances and Stay Tuned for updates!
Past 24 hour Grooming Operations: Trail 8 from 7 miles North of Shingleton West to Trail 417, Trail 7 North, Trail 419 from Trail 8 into Wetmore, Trail 419 from Munising to Christmas including West Bay Spur.
(reference map below for trail locations)
Today’s Forecast: Snow Showers, 19º F, Winds NW 15 mph with Gusts to 25 mph, 1 to 3 inch accumulation
Currently: Cloudy, 18º F, Winds NW 14 mph, Gusts to 23 mph
