HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!!!!!!!!!
A LITTLE TRAIL IMPROVEMENT

Operators Keith and Quest were out grooming through the New Year as a little snow fell to help out with nice ribbon results. Grooming was completed on Trail 8 from Shingleton West to just shy of Trail 417, Trail 7 North to Christmas and Trail 422 North to Miners Castle Road. With a hard trail base and still little snow, the trails are staying rather flat with slight chop seen building from sled traffic.
Overall the core of our trails are still in a Fair to Good Condition. We have gravel conditions to the Northwest and rough wet conditions to the Northeast. Trail 418 from Au Train West, Trail 419 from Wetmore to Christmas and Trail 8 North of Shingleton are these problem areas.
We need a substantial snowfall to get these areas cleaned up. Right now large underlying rocks, north of Shingleton on the Trail 8 especially, are very hard on our cutter blades and equipment when trying to flatten the trail. Grooming operations will continue to be limited across our area as we watch the weather conditions closely.

Today’s Forecast: Snow, 19 degrees and 10 to 20 mph NW winds. Another 1 inch of snow possible.

If you must venture out please ride with caution and conservatively and PLEASE be respectful, stay on the trail and off the throttle when in the towns. Do your best to be easy on the trail base.
Keep Snow Dancing with your friends and stay tuned for updates!
