We did get quite a bit of snow Wednesday night and Thursday.
Trail 8 North of Shingleton going to Bear Trap. This was groomed again Wednesday night.
It was not great. Not only was it snowing so hard the operator was having issues seeing where the trail went, there are still several water holes further North. We skipped the swamp in Shingleton by cutting over to H15 just Norht of the swamp. The John Deer front tracks just plow right down to the bottom of the mud. These holes are North of the new bridge that went in this summer. They had to get a crane and a bunch of equipment in there and the trail saw some abuse. We hope to get this fixed up next summer. We have not been back on that trail with a groomer since Wednesday night so expect it to not be very smooth. We hope these last couple of days of cold temps have this locking up and freezing. It took us 3 hours to clean the mud out of the tractor after this run and had to thaw it over night.

The spur trail between Miners Castle trail and Wetmore along the North side of M28 has been groomed. This trail turned out very nice.

417 between Chatam spur and the Brownstone was panned in last night. We had a couple of trees down that had to be removed. The trail get more rocky the further North you go. It is passable.

419 between Christmas and Wetmore is looking pretty good and has been groomed. There are still a couple of areas with water.

Attached Picture – Miners Trail just South of M28 between trail 8 and the Wetmore Spur trail. This was last night. The groomer backed up so you can see the snow depth we are seeing in this area.

Wednesday Night was the last groomer run. Water holes to the North. The groomer front tracks just dive in to the bottom of the holes. Track system gets loaded up with mud which takes hours to clean out after thawing. The swamp on the South end we have been skipping.

Water Holes, Swamp, lack of grooming since Wednesday Night.
